I'm not a Goon or a Goon alt, but I have to ask, have you ever read anything about The Mittani and what he does on the CSM for the overall gaming experience of EVE Online? I'll bet the answer is no, you have not. Because if you had, you would come to the realization that you don't know what you are saying. First and foremost The Mittani is an "ingame" toon. His place on the CSM has nothing to do with it. How many GM's and Dev's that work for CCP are pirates and scammers/griefers? If you bother to look it up, you will see that quite a few of them are. Should they be fired for playing the game the way they like to play? Or should they just play the game all squeaky clean like? Secondly, The Mittani's role on the CSM is one of the reasons we are having a huge revamp of the sov mechanics in nullsec, and with a play balance of the super capitals. He is also the voice of us hisec miners that have been screaming for years about the friggin' bots that are truelly ruining the game for us. He also leads the war on RMT's. If you would bother to look up who the real Mittani is, you would find that he is a professional that works in a nations capital. He is not going to jeapordize his real life with some crap from a computer game. Its not the Mittani that has an issue with blurring the lines between reality and EVE Online. No, it is you. You think that because there are people that play this game with dark intentions that somehow in real life they are bad people. I feel sorry for people like you. You guys get on the forums and scream for CCP to help or to ban or change the game mechanics, but you all fail to realize, sometimes in games you will loose, as in life. Thats how a sandbox game is meant to be played. Oh, if I've offended you in some small way. I don't care. If you want to take it out on me in game, I live in Parses. I will honor your 1v1 and bring any boat you like, I fly them all, except the capitals. I would give you a hug, seeing as how you need one, but you smell funny. The thing is, Mittani doesn't scam, outside of the standard nullsec diplomacy stuff. He doesn't have to, he basically has the entire Goonswarm wallet at his disposal, to say nothing about all the other ways he's made himself spacerich over the years. Hell, a major reason this whole thing with killing ice bots was so important was that it was fun an interesting enough to get Mittani to actually play EVE. This is all stemming from some younger Goon selling some particularly clueless European(?) Alliance a supercap that didn't actually exist. When they became flighty, that goon brought in Mittani as a "neutral third party" and the twits handed over 11.5B isk without ever seeing the ship. This is generally considered a Faux Pas for this very reason -- he should have brought in a "Supercap director" or something similar instead of Mittani, but that's a discussion for another day. Actually, given the similarities in writing style and avatar, I'd wager Just Another Toon is either Adum (the guy who was scammed out of 11.5B) or in the same alliance. That would explain a lot. If I was stupid enough to get scammed out of 11.5 billion isk I'd be posting some delicious forum tears, too. He was part of the scam, simple. From what i've read ruining the game is what being a GOON is all about. and to be honest, their actions reflect that pretty well. Now off course in the harsh EVE world it is considered as "the daily stuff" however when your alliance is dedicated to doing that one must ask is you truly want those to represent the players. How do they ruin the game? Do they go against the EULA? Nope. Then they don't ruin the game. They may, however, ruin YOUR gaming experience, because you want something risk free, but unfortunately for you and those like you, its not against the EULA. I am very active in the neighborhood watch program, and because me and few others like me in my subdivision, our crime rate is almost non-exsistant. Currently, in EVE I'm a hisec miner. But, I also, go out and gank hisec miners and ice miners when I get bored, because lets face it, the mining lasers sometimes just get old. Or I go into mission areas and try and gank hisec mission runners, not successful as of yet. But, mostly I try and get some good 1v1 in hisec without getting blobbed. So what am I? Am I a knuckle dragging *** as you make all the Goons out to be? No, I'm just like every other EVE player, I don't take it too seriously and I don't care if someone comes in and ruins my mining operation(s). Relax a bit, take a deep breath, organize a resistance to what is going on in the game, and enjoy yourself. YOU** are what drives EVE. There is very little content developed by the Devs. Its that way for a reason. The Goons and those like them, like you, and like me are the content of the game.
